Since 1995, the annual Dream Ride Lancaster cycling event has made it possible for more than 30 local charities to raise support for their organizations. Year after year, participating charities return to this established event, with a planning committee that meets monthly, enabling participating charities to have a successful fundraiser without having to establish the event and plan everything from scratch.
Each organization secures riders for the event. Each rider raises funds for their charity through friends, family, colleagues and local organizations who sponsor them. Cyclists of all abilities can participate, choosing among rides from 10 to 100 miles through beautiful Lancaster County.
While the participating charities raise significant funds for their efforts, Dream Ride Projects puts its proceeds from this event directly toward the Air Quality Partnership of the Susquehanna Valley – their primary *Project.
The Air Quality Partnership of the Susquehanna Valley is dedicated to improving air quality and reducing traffic congestion in the five counties of South Central Pennsylvania, including Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York. Their primary goal is to provide information and sponsor programs that will enable businesses, schools and individuals in our communities to do their share for cleaner air.
The Air Quality Partnership *Project is administered by Dream Ride Projects, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to supporting local charities, air quality, and bicycle friendly community efforts.
