Dream Ride Projects Announces the Selection of RAAM – The Annual Bike Race Across America – as the Primary Fund-Raising Tool for the Organization
Dream Ride Projects Announces the selection of RAAM as the primary fund-raising tool for the organization. Currently, a DRP RAAM 2014 Team is being organized, including a 4-person cycling team along with 10-12 support crew. It is the intent of Dream Ride Projects to participate in RAAM every year thereafter, cycling in teams of 4, 2 and solo cyclists, all racing to raise funds for Dream Ride Projects, specifically.
RAAM has always served as a high-profile vehicle for cyclists raising money for charitable causes through one of the most challenging cycling races in the world, occurring every June. In the last 3 years alone, RAAM participants have raised over $ 1 million for charities of their choosing.
With so many worthwhile efforts supported by RAAM racers, RAAM chooses not to align with any specific cause, but rather to let the participants use the race as a platform to showcase their chosen charity. The Lon Haldeman Award was created to honor racers who raise the most funds for their chosen charity.
