Team CYCLE SMART is an ultra-distance cycling team whose ambition is to participate in the Race Across America event in 2010. We will accomplish this through a development of established Team Rides to recruit members, Team Events to train members, and Team Activities to continue to encourage members throughout the entire year.
As the Team’s community service project we plan to establish fundraising activities that will partner with charitable organizations whose focus is related to Cancer, Homelessness & Hunger, and Healthy Communities. We will be hosting the July 11-12 scheduled 12-24 Hour Challenge (formerly the Longest Day Challenge), and plan to participate in several ultra-distance cycling events including; The Adirondack 540, and the Bike Sebring 12-24 Hours. We’ll also attempt to set cross-state cycling records in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
For the 2009 Calendar Year we are supporting Feeding America and BikeTown Africa
